Apophenia is a funny thing, even with music. If you try, you can imagine every single piece in Lost is a variation on a single theme -- perhaps Credit Where Credit is Due.
Then there are those people who say Pachelbel's canon influenced many songs, or even all popular music. Connections, real or imagined, are always fun. I tried mashing most of Losts themes with Pachelbel's canon in this video. Some had no connection whatever, and the combination sounded ridiculous. Others were so similar they scared me.
